Some Reasons To Break Up With Someone And End A Relationship

There are many different reasons to break up with someone. Trying to list all of the possible reasons for breaking up would take a few thousand pages, but at the core, there are some very good reasons to break up with someone, and there are some bad reasons.

We’re not going to focus on the bad reasons for breakups in this article, though.

Abuse

When someone is in an abusive relationship, they tend to believe that they either deserve the abuse or that the person whom they’re with will change. So they tend to stay in that relationship.

This is one of the most important reasons for someone to end a relationship. If you are in an abusing relationship, whether it’s physically or emotionally abusive, the scars that can be left behind can last a lifetime.

There is no excuse for someone to abuse another person in their life. None whatsoever. If you are in a relationship and your significant other is abusing you, then end the relationship. It doesn’t matter whether you have been together for a month, a year, or many years. It is still reason to end the relationship. You probably can’t fix them and, if you try, you’ll likely only make things worse.

Abuse is one of the top reasons to break up with someone.

You don’t feel the love anymore

When people have been together for some time, they tend to drift apart. There are many reasons why this happens, and it doesn’t reflect on you. We tend to get complacent in our lives, and we begin to see the real side of people after a few years, once the novelty of the new relationship wears off. When that happens, we might find ourselves wondering what we ever saw in that person.

Then, of course, we tend to feel that we have a lot invested in these people. We may live with them and feel that breaking up would be a burden, but what’s more important? Feeling love for someone or avoiding an inconvenient few weeks to move out? If the love just isn’t there anymore, then perhaps it’s time to move on.
