Self Esteem Games – Fun Activities For Enhancing Self Respect

Are you looking for some interesting and fun self esteem games to help boost people’s sense of self worth?

There are many games you can play with friends or coworkers to enhance your self esteem and conquer the problems you have with your perception of yourself. Other people generally have a much higher opinion of you than you think!

One really fun self esteem game is to sit down together and recognize each others’ good qualities and attributes. Give everyone one piece of paper for each person in the group and ask them to write the person’s name at the top. Then have them list all the positive things about that person they can think of that might boost that person’s self-esteem.

When everyone is finished with their lists, gather up the papers and sort by individual. Have each person read out someone else’s list of attributes. There will be lots of laughter and disbelief from the recipients of all the affirmative feedback. Even if people aren’t totally convinced of their own positive qualities, this game will make them think about them and remember how many great attributes other people feel they have. This is a great boost to anyone’s self esteem.

A variation of this self esteem game is to carefully pin a sheet of paper to the back of each participant’s clothing (using safety pins) and have everyone write positive comments on the paper. This will involve a lot of laughter while the game is in progress. When everyone has finished writing, the comments are read out, either by the person who ‘owns’ the paper or by someone designated to read them all. Again, people are surprised to hear all the affirmative comments about themselves.

Another self esteem game is to write your own ‘advert’ in order to sell yourself as a good friend or reliable coworker. List all of your positive qualities, such as: kindness, reliability, honesty, etc. If you have low self esteem, you might find it difficult to come up with anything to write on your list – but think hard. You most likely are reliable, kind and honest; so write that on your list. You’ll be surprised at how long your list can be once you begin to really think about it. You can also change this game by writing the ‘adverts’ for each other.
