A Guided Meditation Script For Calming The Soul

Are you looking for a guided meditation script to help you meditate, relax, calm down, focus and enjoy some peace?

Everyone experiences times when they just cannot relax and unwind. Worries over everyday life crowd the mind, causing tension in the body.

A great way to unwind is to practice meditation. Meditation is a method of calming the mind and soul with the use of music, nature sounds, and breathing exercises that are designed to help you purge negative energy and allow you to release tension – it helps you train your mind to focus.

It involves the use of visualization and imagination to help you unwind and relax. During guided mediation, you are given certain points or destinations on your imaginary journey in order to achieve a specific goal. A sample guided meditation script includes several techniques. Here is a sample guided meditation script you can follow the next time you wish to unwind.

First, you will need to arrange your environment – you don’t want too many distractions and you must be comfortable during your meditation. Check the room temperature and make sure it is not too hot or too cold. Also, look at where you are going to sit or lay down. Is this a comfortable spot? Ask yourself if you want to include some soft music to help you. If you want to visualize an outdoor setting such as a mountain top or peaceful valley, you may want to include some music that incorporates sounds of nature.

Some people also like to light scented candles to add to the atmosphere. Decide what you wish to visualize before you start so you can stay focused on the imaginary scene. Turn off the phone or any other distracters. You are now ready to take your imaginary journey using this guided meditation script.

Now, sit or lie down and make sure you are comfortable. Close your eyes and take a deep breath through your nose and hold it for about five seconds. Now, exhale slowly through your mouth for about five seconds. Repeat three or four times until you begin to feel relaxed. Continue with your slow, controlled breathing. Keep your eyes closed throughout this exercise.

The next step is to visualize that you are at the base of a hill or mountain. You are beginning your ascent (don’t forget to keep taking deep breaths and keep your eyes closed). You find a path at the base of the hill and start walking up it. As you walk, you notice how warm the sun is on your back (it’s important that you include as many details in the imagining as possible so you can get a full guided meditation experience). Visualize your favorite time of the year which will help with the relaxation experience.
